What to Look Out For
Particular problems are best addressed early. Watch out for:
- Severe crowding
- Crossbite on front or back teeth
- Protruding teeth
- Underbite
- Difficulty chewing
- Airways issues such as snoring
When to be seen
Get checked at age 7 years
The ideal age for interceptive treatment is 8-10 years old as the upper jaw is highly malleable and is in an accelerated growth phase.
Severe issues can be corrected from 2 years old so contact us if you see:
- Obstructive sleep apnoea (pauses in breathing when sleeping)
- Snoring
- Mouth breathing
- Crossbite in the milk teeth
